This synthesis does not use permanganate as oxidising agent, avoids extreme conditions of reaction and minimises the residues management. The electrochemist group is looking for companies interested in acquiring this technology for commercial purposes or for establishing projects to adopt this technology to their needs.

A SME in Germany offers a product line for stone conservation. Consolidation and strengthening of rock can be achieved with a stone hardener. It penetrates easily into the calcite-bound sandstones, limestones or marbles. Small fissures, shale and cracks can be filled as well. The product line contains the consolidant, injection masses, mortars and paints whereas all differ in their calcium hydroxide content. The company seeks for technical cooperation or a manufacturing agreement.

A well-established Spanish not-for-profit research Institute has developed a new family of supported highly active, yet stable catalysts for the full hydrogenation of aromatic compounds, such as phthalates, acetophenone, benzene, etc. This catalyst is stable upon storage under air and at room temperature and can be easily recycled at least 10 times. The institution is looking for partners for the joint development or testing of the material for industrially relevant challenging substrates.

A French start-up, specialised in developing and manufacturing industry and/or research polymer solutions including metal and oxide nanomaterials has developed a unique process to functionalize polymers and provide them with new properties. They now offer this know-how through commercial agreements with technical support to partners willing to develop new polymers and through cooperation agreement to co-develop new solutions.

A Spanish research group has developed a new process for the elimination of printed ink from plastic films used in flexible packaging without using any kind of organic solvent. As a result, a pure, high-quality ink-free product is obtained, for recycling in a wide variety of applications. The technology has been tested successfully in different plastic materials and is viable for solvent and water based inks. Companies for a licensing agreement and technical cooperation are sought.

A South East UK University is developing a novel technique for growing unique conducting structured metal and semiconductor nanomaterials based on supercritical fluid electrodeposition. Such structures are useful in a broad range of devices including ultra-high density storage media and single electron transistors. The University seeks industry from the electronics and energy sectors to collaborate and help commercialise the enabling technology.

A Spanish university can demonstrate that the etherified derivatives of chitosan act as flocculation additives and can set up accelerators of different types of cement, cement mortar, concrete, grout, stucco or similar products. The additive carboxymethylchitosan (CMCH) at very low dosage showed a strong effect on the fresh mortars properties, acting as an effective thickener and reducing the workable life of the fresh paste. They look for industrial partners interested in a license agreement.

A professor for logistics of a German university developed a transport unit which allows a highly flexible transport of materials within the internal production process as well as for storage or buffer range. The system can be adapted by industry or sme who want to increase their flexibility within the production process of goods. A Hungarian university designed a special ball mill. It is to reduce the particle size of the different powders, for example, producing nano-technological raw materials, nano-grained powders. Its main advantage is that the size of the grinding jars can be variable by changing the jar and this feature makes the technology more effective than the other similar solutions. The Hungarian university is looking for partners or licensees to develop, produce and utilize this technology.

A South East UK SME has developed a unique system, already proven for treatment of fly ash from incinerators, which produce materials for re-use/cheaper disposal. The treatment is rapid (minutes not days and months) and sequesters CO2, converting it into limestone. The end-product is currently used as a secondary aggregate, engineering fill etc. The SME seeks experts in steel/cement waste to joint develop and scale up the system and apply to said industries.
