Slovenian research institute is looking for ICT expert or company to implement two novel fully developed protein transmembrane (TM) region prediction algorithms for a and ß TM regions into a web tool that would allow users (biochemists, biotechnologists, molecular biologists, pharmacists...) from academic or pharmaceutical research departments to make their own predictions of protein transmembrane regions from a given amino acid sequence.

A French academic research laboratory has developed novel cell-based assays for monitoring gene expression profiles at the single cell level. Their assays are compatible with the use of primary cells and give robust and sensitive information of the genes expressed at the single cell level. Their analysis tools allow then to evaluate interactions, identify new targets and new genetic markers. Presently, they search technical collaborations with companies for the industrial use of their assays.

A Spanish Research Centre has developed a novel procedure to target RNAs into secretable nanovesibles that can be used to design gene therapies, vaccines and to modulate the response of the immune system. It is seeking a company to further develop this technology and to commercialize it.

This Scottish University offers photolithographic and stereolithographic processes for miniaturised, fluidic assay prototyping. They are seeking a European partner for technical cooperation, to develop these assays further for biological and medical applications.

A French SME specialized in antibody and assay developments for bio-industries offers customized service in the field of antibody production. First, the SME proposes Phage Display services for the development of human Antibody. Moreover, smaller antibody fragments that retain the entire antigen binding site can be made. Finally, the enhancement of antibody affinity or specificity is done via mutagenesis. Manufacturing or commercial agreement with technical assistance are sought.

A Scottish University have developed a new, highly efficient method of synthesising DNA-binding polyamides. DNA-binding polyamides are small molecules that offer a potentially generic approach for the development of research tools. A major barrier to the wider use of polyamides has been their slow, low-yielding and costly synthesis. Companies developing tools or therapeutics in polyamides technology are sought to apply the technology through license agreement.

A German university identified an efficient, codon optimized protein expression, secretion and detection system for the green microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Advantages include continuous production, easy purification and sustainability conditions. Applications are in pharmaceutical, food and feed industry. Industrial licensees from these sectors are sought.
